Our Industrial Chip Ice Machines here at Ice Systems can be a valuable addition to your business. Produced between -0.5°C and -1°C, chip ice is an extremely popular and effective choice for fresh fruit and vegetables.
It is also often the preferred choice across the fish and shellfish industries due to its slow melting characteristics, which releases its energy slowly and melts evenly between products. Because of its crystal-clear appearance, chip ice is a great choice for consumer displays.
At Ice Systems, we stock a wide range of Industrial Chip Ice Machines from 1000 – 5000kg for either purchase or rental, depending on your specific business requirements. If you’re looking to secure an Industrial Ice Machine for the first time, this can be a highly cost-effective option for your business.
Sub-cooled at -1°C and wet to the touch, chip ice releases its energy slowly and melts evenly between products. Chip ice is an excellent choice for fresh produce such as the fish and vegetable industries – its crystal-like appearance also makes it perfect for consumer-facing displays.
Industrial ice is used by a whole host of businesses during processing, storage, and transportation in order to guarantee the quality of product. Allowing you to produce ice in large quantities for rapid, specific and large-scale cooling, industrial ice is the perfect solution to the demands of your business. Here at Ice Systems, we supply both Flake and Chip Industrial Ice Machines at a wide range of capacities, depending on your requirements.
Flake and chip ice are generated by an Industrial Ice Machine in different ways. Flake ice is made when the machine freezes water inside a large metal cylinder/drum before being sub-cooled to -7°C and cracked off by internal blades into flat, thin flakes. Chip ice, on the other hand, is produced at -1°C when water freezes over the evaporator before forming into rough-sized pieces with a crystal-like appearance.
Here at Ice Systems, we supply Flake and Chip Industrial Ice Machines, with each type effective for specific sectors due to their differing characteristics.
Our current range of Chip Industrial Ice Machines produces between 1000kg and 5000kg of sub-cooled chip ice per 24 hours of running time, depending on the size of the machine.
